CISF security personnel restored a bag containing Rs 80,000 cash to a Delhi Metro commuter after her bag was inadvertently picked by another passenger.
Officials said the incident occurred yesterday at the Netaji Subhash Place station when the woman from Rajasthan approached on-duty CISF officials that her bag containing the said cash, a mobile phone and documents, was missing after she left it for X-ray scanning.
The security team of the force, at the same time, found a similar looking unattended bag and subsequently segregated it for detailed scanning.
It was found the bag belonged to a person from Ballia in Uttar Pradesh and he had picked the woman's bag by mistake, thinking it to be his own, they said.
The person was called back to the station and the two bags were restored after due verification, they added.
