The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which provides security cover at airports, detected 34 cases of persons entering the terminal building of the airport in the national capital during the last 14 months, according to Union Minister Jayant Sinha.
"The persons caught were handed over to Delhi Police for further legal action in the matter," the Minister of State for Civil Aviation said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha today.
On whether CISF has asked for installing PNR readers at the airport gates to the check illegal entry, Sinha replied in the affirmative.
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security has issued instructions to the airport operators to install 2D bar code scanner, he added.
