Class 12 student killed in UP
The incident took place at a village in the district when the man allegedly attacked the girl, who was returning home, with a sharp-edged weapon following which she died on the spot, a police official said.
It was alleged that the girl, a class 12 student, was allegedly harassed by the man a number of times in the past, but she resisted him, he said.
A search was on for the accused, who was absconding, the official added.
