Elated at the World Bank ranking Jharkhand third in 'Ease of Doing Business for Make In India' programme, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today renewed his government's commitment to accelerate developmental works taken up in the state.
"It is the result of comprehensive effort and coordination among different departments of the government (leading to) the World Bank recognition of Jharkhand's endeavours," an official release said here.
Reacting in jubilation, hours after the WB report was released, placing Jharkhand at the third spot after Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, Das stressed upon speeding up of development works to put Jharkhand among the developed states, the release said.
In this report, Jharkhand stands third after Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh while last year it was on 29th rank.
The release said that Prime Minister expected from the World Bank to help in industrial competition and export and that under the programme, chief secretaries of all the states met in 'Make In India' workshop and prepared a 98-point action plan for business reforms under 'Ease of Doing Business' and the WB reviewed them (from March 2015) and issued the report under DIPP.
Jharkhand, which ranked 29th last year, had inaugurated Single Window System Advantage on September 8 to protect investors' interest in registration, environment, taxation and availability of land the state.
The state has already dedicated Jharkhand Industrial Park Policy 2015, Jharkhand Feed Processing Industry Policy 2015, Jharkhand Food Processing Industry Policy 2015 and Jharkhand Export Policy 2015 to the people, the release said.
