Cold conditions continued to prevail in many places of Punjab and Haryana on Tuesday.
Fog reduced visibility in the morning in places like Ludhiana, Adampur, Halwara, Bathinda, Hisar and Karnal.
Adampur near Jalandhar was the coldest place in the two states with a minimum temperature of 5.3 degrees Celsius, meteorological department officials said.
In Punjab, Gurdaspur recorded a low of 5.8 degrees Celsius, Bathinda settled at normal minimum temperature of 5.6 degrees, Amritsar 7 degrees, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded 9.1 degrees and 7.9 degrees Celsius respectively, officials said.
Chandigarh recorded a low of 6.7 degrees Celsius.
In Haryana, Narnaul and Karnal recorded 6 degrees Celsius each, Hisar settled 7.6 degrees, Bhiwani and Sirsa recorded 7.7 degrees Celsius each.
