For experts and professionals, the regulator has hiked monthly remuneration by Rs 10,000 at all levels. They are classified into five categories based on their experience.
Those having up to three years' experience are grouped as Level I, 3-5 years (Level II), 5-10 years (Level III), 10-15 years (Level IV) and 15 years and more (Level V).
For Level I and II officials, the monthly pay has been raised to Rs 40,000 and Rs 60,000 respectively.
Those coming under Level III and IV groupings would now get a monthly lump sum of Rs 85,000 and Rs 1,10,000 respectively.
To effect the revision, the Commission last month amended the Competition Commission of India (Procedure for Engagement of Experts and Professionals) Regulations. A notification has been issued in this regard.
The revised monthly lump sum pay would also be applicable to experts and professionals who are already working at the Commission.
