Congress today hit out at the Delhi government for reducing plan outlay in the vote-on-account and alleged that AAP's move was to "benefit private sectors".
Congress also claimed that the move by the ruling party will halt all development projects in the national capital.
"It seems that by increasing non-plan expenditure, the AAP government has done the work to benefit the private sectors," DPCC chief spokesperson Sharmistha Mukherjee alleged during a press conference here.
"Government reduced plan-expenditure by Rs 2,350 crore which means that development works of the capital will be stopped. It has cut plan-outlay of every sector," she further alleged.
Congress on April 8 had formed a shadow cabinet comprising a young team which would shadow departments of the AAP government in Delhi and be "proactive" in taking up issues rather than just being "reactive".
The heads of different departments of the shadow cabinet also came down heavily on the AAP government.
"It is extremely tragic that in the run up to the 2015 Delhi Assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party made tall promises in its manifesto with respect to the education sector but the intention to fulfil the same is totally missing from the allocations made in the 2015-16 budget," Ragini Nayak, who heads the education section, alleged.
She claimed that there has been a slash of Rs 68 crore in the planned budgetary allocation for technical education. This, clearly shows that AAP government and the chief minister do not walk the talk.
Aman Panwar, head of power section, said that the AAP government has substantially reduced government funding for Delhi's power sector.
"No funds have been allocated for key renewable energy, coal blocks and transmission lines- these were the key issues for the Aam Aadmi Party during the Assembly elections," he said.
Meanwhile, Rajesh Goel and Maswood Zagar have been appointed as chairman and convener of IT Cell of the DPCC respectively. Gaurav Pandhi has also been appointed as convener of the IT Cell of the state party.
