The party also made it clear that there was no change in the schedule for burning the effigy of 'Chitta Ravana' on October 18, which coincides with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Ludhiana visit.
The ADCP has been transferred with immediate effect and directed to report at Punjab State Police Headquarters in Chandigarh till further orders, a spokesperson of the CMO's said.
The Congress had staged a sit-in front of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal's official residence demanding suspension of the ADCP for his alleged biased role in registering cases against the party leaders.
"Congress workers in all the 117 assembly segments will burn similar effigies on Monday," AICC Secretary Harish Choudhary said.
The Congress would show no let-up in its campaign against the drugs menace in the state, he said.
