Cong continues its protest against power, water crisis

Continuing its protest against power and water crisis in the national capital, scores of Congress workers today staged agitation at Dwarka Mor and Bawana and blocked roads, which led to traffic snarls.
Protesters, led by DPCC chief spokesperson Mukesh Sharma, shouted slogans against BJP and AAP and held them responsible for the present situation.
They also sat on dharna outside the Dwarka Mor metro station and refused to move, following which police detained Sharma and other party supporters and took them to Dabri police station.
Due to the agitation, three metro stations - Dwarka Mor, Nawada and Uttam Nagar West - had to be shut down for few minutes, officials said, adding to manage the situation, police personnel were deployed at nearby metro stations.

"In the last 15 years, when Congress was in power, business of invertors and generator was not flourishing because there were hardly any power cuts. Kejriwal and BJP have now joined hands with the inverter and generator owners that is why people are facing water and power crisis," Sharma alleged.
Sharma said Congress would continue its agitation, and a protest meeting would be held by the party workers of Madipur tomorrow.

After that, the party workers would hold a chakka jam protest at Rohtak Road, he added
President of Mohan Garden Federation, A K Naiyyar, who also participated in the demonstration, said that they have not got water for past three days and also electricity comes barely for half an hour during the whole day.

"No one is listening to us." Naiyyar alleged.
