Congress MLA Badal today demanded revocation of suspension of officials following the August 10 stampede in the temple town of Deogarh, which had claimed ten lives.
Without naming the officials, the MLA alleged two senior officials were made "scapegoat" following the stampede and their suspension should be "revoked".
He also demanded setting up of a House Committee to go into the details to prevent such incidents in future.
Amit Kumar and P Murugan, who were the Deogarh Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police respectively, were suspended along with two health officials on the ground of negligence of duty on the same day after the incident.
