A Congress MLA today criticised BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on the chantings of 'Har Har Modi' in place of 'Har Har Mahadev'.
Ajai Rai, the MLA from Pindra seat, criticised Modi for comparing himself with Lord Shiva and also letting BJP workers to chant 'Har Har Modi' instead of objecting to it, he told reporters here.
He demanded that Modi should immediately withdraw the slogan which was an insult to the deity.
Rai said Modi should seek an apology from the people of Kashi (Varanasi) as well as millions of followers of Lord Shiva across the world, who's sentiments have been hurt.
