On the directives of the UPCC president Nirmal Khatri, district and city units of the party will hold protest dharnas at all district headquarters against the Central government, a party spokesman said.
The farmers are already facing severe drought, and the spiralling prices of onion, pulses and other essential commodities has increased their problems manifold, the spokesman said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made a promise of controlling prices in 100 days during campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections, but even after a passage of one-and-a-half year, this promise has not yet been fulfilled, the spokesman added.
