Constable held for accepting bribe

A constable attached with Shirdi police station in Ahmednagar district was held by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials for allegedly accepting bribe of Rs 1,500.
The complainant owns three cars and ferries passengers from Yeola tehsil in the district to Shirdi. The constable asked him to pay bribe of Rs 1,500 so that will be able to continue his business, an release issued by ACB Nashik Division said today.
Following the complaint, a trap was laid and Gokulchand Pardeshi was caught while accepting the bribe and was later arrested, it said.
