ASI Bharat Bairagi had demanded Rs 10,000 as bribe from a tribal man Dalsingh for settling a dispute, a Lokayutka official said.
Dalsingh had a dispute with a man at an occasion to mourn the death of one of his kin. The man had lodged a complaint of loot against him, he said.
The ASI had already taken Rs 7,000 and demanded additional Rs 10,000. Following a complaint, Lokayukta police laid a trap and caught Bairagi at Alirajpur district's Aambua police post while accepting the bribe, the officer said.
