Copper declines on lacklustre trade, global cues

Select copper prices declined in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amid lower demand from industrial users on the back of bearish London Metal Exchange (LME) cues.
Meanwhile, copper utensils scrap, lead and brass honey prices rebounded following good offtake from consumer industries.
At the London Metal Exchange (LME), copper slipped in early trade as its poor fundamentals came back into focus as a relief rally sparked by a calmer reaction to the Greek election results than anticipated sputtered out.
Copper cables, Copper aluminium and Copper wire bar dropped by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 417, Rs 402 and Rs 437 from last saturday's closing level of Rs 421, Rs 406 and Rs 441.
Copper scrap heavy also fell by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 412 from Rs 415 previously.
However, Copper utensils scrap and Brass honey moved up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 389 and Rs 312 as against Rs 387 and Rs 310.
Lead edged up by a Re per kg to Rs 135.
