Copper up 0.1% on global cues

Analysts attributed the rise in copper futures to a firm global trend

Copper prices traded up by 0.05% to Rs 427.35 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions, driven by firming global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in November edged up by 20 paise, or 0.05% to Rs 427.35 per kg in business turnover of 1,122 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper futures to a firm global trend.

Meanwhile, copper rose 0.2% to $6,946.25 a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
