Copper, nickel decline on lower demand, global cues

Copper and nickel declined at the the non-ferrous metal market here today due to stockist selling amid lower demand from industrial users.
While, aluminium, brass, lead and zinc gained Following good offtake from consumers industries.
The industrial metal, copper firmed up at the LME in early trade, after falling more than one percent in the previous session, as easier policies by European and Chinese central banks outweighed concerns over Chinese demand.
Nickel dropped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,020 from tuesday's closing level of Rs 1,030 and copper sheet cuttings fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 425 from Rs 430.
Copper utensils moved down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 410 as against to Rs 412 previously.
Copper cable scrap, copper sracp heavy, copper armiture and copper wire bar softend to Re per kg to Rs 440, Rs 436, Rs 431 and Rs 460 respectively.
Meanwhile, aluminium ingots rose to Rs 5 per kg to Rs 159 from Rs 154 yesterday and lead moved by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 136 from RS 133.
Brass utensils scrap edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 320 from Rs 319, also brass sheets cuttings and zinc inched up by Re per kg each to Rs 330 and Rs 172 respectively.
