Cops injured after BJP activists pelt stones at MSEDCL office

A few policemen were injured during stone-pelting at Jamner, while restricting a march led by BJP MLA Girish Mahajan, near the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) office here today, the Jamner police said.
In fact, the BJP MLA entered the MSEDCL office to submit a memorandum demanding and end to load shedding and reducing power bills by 50 per cent.
However, the mob of activists who were stopped at the gate by the police, started pelting stones at the MSEDCL office during which some policemen were injured including one police sub-inspector, the Jamner police station-in-charge told PTI today.
The exact number of injured is yet to be ascertained yet, since the took place at about 5 pm today. After this development, some tires were set on fire by the mob, besides small shops at Neri village in Jamner.
However, the situation is now under control, the police said.
