Furthermore, tight stocks position following restricted arrivals from major growing regions also fuelled the uptrend.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander for January delivery rose by Rs 134, or 2.45 per cent, to Rs 5,587 per quintal with an open interest of 40,510 lots.
On similar lines, the spice for delivery in the current month traded higher by Rs 66, or 1.23 per cent, to Rs 5,440 per quintal, with an open interest of 430 lots.
