Corporate Badminton League at Gopichand Academy on Dec 12-14

A Hyderabad-based engineering solutions provider Cyient has teamed up with the prestigious Pullela Gopichand Academy here for the second edition of Corporate Badminton League (CBL) to be held here from December 12 to 14.
The national inter-corporate event would be conducted at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy at Gachibowli here.

A sport like badminton needs encouragement for it requires extremely active mental and physical participation from the players. Cyient is partnering with highly reputed Gopichand Academy to promote badminton in the corporate world," BVR Mohan Reddy, Founder and Executive Chairman, Cyient said.

Addressing a press conference to announce the Corporate Badminton League 2014, Pullela Gopichand, Founder of the Academy and Chief National Coach of badminton, said,"It gives me immense pleasure to join forces with Cyient for CBL 2014 following the tremendous success of the tournament's first edition in 2013.
"The CBL is one of the few tournaments in India, which promote badminton among corporate employees in a big way. My support for CBL stems from my love for badminton as a sport, and personal belief that sports offers one of the best ways for corporate employees in fast-paced work environments to rejuvenate and keep fit."

Over 70 companies across India and more than 450 enthusiasts participated in the tournament in 2013, the organisers said in a release.
It is open to all non-seeded individuals working in the Indian corporate sector and the league features men's and women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles championships.
Winners are awarded attractive cash prizes and gifts along with the coveted Pullela Gopichand Trophy, it said.
