The councillor, Mohammad Asif, left the meeting midway and later returned playing the reed pipe (been). While his action caused a commotion in the House, Asif did not stop there. He went near the Chairman of the BJP-ruled Bhilwara municipality, Lalitha Samdani, and played the reed pipe in front of her.
While BJP councillors tried to stop him, the handful of Congress councillors at the meeting came out in his support.
The councillor's antics were even caught on video and circulated on social media.
BJP councillors moved a motion and Asif was suspended for two years from the municipality's board meetings, Samdani said.
