Couple found dead in Kerala, Chit fund owner questioned

: An elderly couple, who sought the return of over Rs 3 lakh deposited by them in a chit fund firm, were found dead here, police said today.
The deceased, K K Venu (57) and his wife Suma (52), hailing from Idukki district, were rushed to a hospital with severe burn injuries, where they later died.
Investigations are on in the matter to ascertain whether it was a suicide or murder, they said.
Venu's relatives alleged that the couple are unlikely to commit suicide and they suspected that the chit found owner,Suresh, might have set them on fire after pouring petrol over them when they demanded the deposited amount.

The chit fund owner is being questioned, police said.
