Couple, six-year-old daughter die in cylinder blast

A couple and their six-year-old daughter died in a gas cylinder blast at their rented house near here today, police said.

Police said neighbours, who rushed to the spot, found the man seriously injured.

He told them that the cylinder had exploded before falling unconscious, they said.

The man died on the way to hospital, police said.

His wife and daughter were found dead at the spot.

Fire service personnel extinguished the blaze.

Police said investigations revealed that the cylinder was left open, leading to the suspicion that they could have committed suicide.

The man was facing financial problems for the past few months,they added.
