A local court has rejected the second report filed by police in a sedition case against senior UP Minister Mohd Azam Khan and fixed October 22 as the next date of hearing.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Raj Kishore rejected the second final report filed by police yesterday, petitioner and Bajrang Dal leader Ujjwal Gupta's counsel Arvind Singh Parmar said.
The court had in May 2013 rejected the final report lodged by police and had asked it to re-investigate the case, ruling that the report was "found to be untrue".
Khan, during his visit to Budaun to take part in an agitation on December 21, 2010, had allegedly made certain remarks following which the court had asked police to lodge an FIR against him and booked him on the charge of sedition.
