Cracker factory fire: Toll rises to 2

The death toll in the cracker manufacturing unit fire has risen to two as a 25-year-old who suffered serious burn injuries in the incident, died at a hospital today.
Shanti (45) was killed and her son Roshi seriously injured when a fire broke out in a cracker factory near railway crossing on Batala-Gurdaspur national highway here last evening, police said.
Roshi was admitted in the civil hospital here and later shifted to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital at Amritsar where he succumbed to injuries.
