CREST for Kashmir launched

A resource mobilisation drive to help the flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir by city-based youth forum 'Creating Resource to Empower Society Today' (CREST) was launched by collecting clothing, old newspapers and money as donation from the house of the Mayor of City Corporation Mahabala Maarla here.
The mayor also extended his help through the City Corporation by providing space for storing and sorting out collected materials, a statement here said.
CREST, a youth forum of City based NGO Centre for Integrated Learning (CIL) has initiated this drive to collect money, medicines, materials and man power to help the Kashmir flood victims.

Students in groups visited households in and around city convincing them to donate useable materials like clothes to be sorted out and reached to the needy in the affected areas.
