"The Syndicate decided to fill up the vacant posts at yesterday's meeting. We are hopeful about completing the recruitments in three months time," Registrar Rajagopal Dhar Chakraborty said.
"The process is beginning very very soon," the Registrar said.
Advertisements for applications from candidates will be published in newspapers and posted on the university website.
A university official said over 300 posts had been lying vacant for a long time, many reserved for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
The emergency syndicate meeting had taken place to discuss how to fill up the posts.
