The large-scale exercise was conducted at all stations of the Southern Air Command from January 11 to validate various contingency plans of the wing.
During the exercise, the ability and readiness of Command and all Air Force Stations under the Command were put to real time test by creating simulated contingencies both by day and night thereby enabling the commanders to plan and execute air operations with assets at their disposal, an SAC release said here today.
The five day exercise included movement of combat elements to rehearse plans to meet sub-conventional challenges developing rapidly in the Southern Peninsula,it said.
The exercise also involved activation of HADR (Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief) missions, wherein large-scale air evacuation of casualties was practised, the release added.
