Popular French DJ Danid Guetta feels the scenario of electronic dance music aka EDM in India has evolved over the last couple of years.
Guetta, 47, who is in India again to promote his sixth studio album Listen, which released last month worldwide.
"I'm so happy to be able to visit India again. It's a magical country. The dance music scene has really escalated to a different extent after my debut visit and I'm very excited to see it. Dance music is the next thing for the next 10 years. There's only moving ahead now," Guetta, who is the headliner at Enchanted Valley Carnival, Ambay Valley, between December 19 to 21, told PTI.
The 'Play Hard' hitmaker says the love of Indian audience bring him back to the country, which he visited first in 2012.
"The main attraction of India is that the audience here is extremely warm and the emotional... DJs generally opt for United States or Ibiza as they have big music markets. But I wanted to come to India too," he said.
The Grammy-winning singer's latest album 'Listen' has five tracks and it took him three years to compose them. It witnessed a lot of collaboration between Guetta and other renowned singers including Nicki Minaj and John Legend.
"My new album is more organic. It is one of my most personal and challenging albums till date. Honestly, I'm little bit scared. It's completely different from anything I've done before. It's just completely different from anything I've done before. That's why it has taken almost three years. It's just different," he said.
Apart from his international collaborations, the musician has teamed up with Indian singer-actress Priyanka Chopra for a UNICEF project.
"I met Priyanka at the Grammy a couple of years back. She's an extremely warm person and it was a pleasure to meet her. She is part of a project I am doing with UNICEF. We are inviting people from all over the world to record their duet with John Lennon...," he said.
