Darbar move: offices to close on April 29, reopen on May 9 at

As part of the pre-independence biannual darbar move, Jammu and Kashmir government will close its summer capital offices on April 29 and will start functioning from Srinagar on May 9.
The darbar moves offices, seat of power including civil secretariat, Legislature,police headquarters, Raj Bhawan and Boards and constitutional bodies will close at Jammu on April 29 and will reopen in Srinagar on May 9.
As per the darbar move, a 140-year-old practice, the government functions six months each in the two capitals - Srinagar in summer and Jammu in winters.
