Dayashankar remarks: Stern action if FIR is filed, says SP

Condemning the derogatory remarks made against BSP Supremo Mayawati by BJP's Dayashankar Singh, ruling Samajwadi Party today said the government will take stern action against if an FIR is filed in this connection.
"The government has decided if a case is lodged under the SC/ST act against the culprit in connection with the remarks made against the BSP chief, stern action as per the law will be initiated," a ruling party spokesman said.
"Action will be taken against the culprit in a just and impartial manner," the spokesman said.
He said Samajwadi Party has always held women in high esteem and will not tolerate comments which damage their dignity.

He said the party condemns the utterances made by Singh in the strongest of words.
