According to an official, on May 26 locals of West Vinod Nagar told DDMA about a building, which was slightly leaning.
Emergency operation staff immediately alerted various departments like Delhi Fire Services, Delhi Police, CATS, EDMC and BSES. Meanwhile Quick Response Vehicle (QRTV) of DDMA reached the site for the inspection of the building.
"It was observed that the three-storeyed building was leaning to a side thus the building was evacuated along with neighbouring buildings by the DDMA with the help of Delhi Police.
Superintending Engineer of East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) in his report declared the building dangerous and mentioned that it could collapse any time.
Following which the DDMA released order to demolish the building.
