The Delhi government has set up a committee to formulate a policy on dairy farms in the national capital, said Development Minister Gopal Rai on Thursday.
Rai made the announcement during a visit to Ghazipur dairy farm.
"The government has formed a committee to come out with a policy for dairy farms. Till this policy is formulated, no challans will be issued against the dairy farms," Rai said.
The twelve-member committee will be headed by Animal Husbandry Department's director.
The committee will inspect dairy farms and will submit its report on all aspects based on which a policy will be formed, he said.
