Tejaswin narrowly missed the Delhi interzone record with a jump of 1.87m in 2013, but in 2014 the Class X student registered six records, including three state and three national.
At the Delhi summer meet last year, Tejaswin created a new summer meet record of 1.93m and later created a new Delhi state record in the Under-16 category at the Delhi State Athletic Meet at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium with a jump of 1.94m.
After this, Tejaswin thrashed the previous Delhi interzone record of 1.91m with a spectacular jump of 1.97m in the Under-17 category, a performance which also won him the best athlete award.
At the 30th Junior Nationals in Vijawada, Tejaswin was among the few athletes who won a gold medal for Delhi.
Apart from this, he also participated in the 19th CBSE Nationals in the Under-19 category at Mehesana, Gujarat where he broke the CBSE national record, clearing 2.01m comfortably.
