Experts from the WHO, Delhi government, National Institute of Malaria Research, representatives from Delhi Police, education department, CPWD, PWD, Irrigation and Flood, private hospitals, Delhi Jal Board, DTC, Delhi cantonment, DMRC, railways, schools and colleges, were also present.
Experts from the National Vector-borne Disease Control Programne, highlighted the issue of solid waste management and pointed out that proper and timely disposal of waste like disposable cups, plates by DEMS Department will be helpful in reducing breeding of mosquitoes.
Nearly 100 cases of chikungunya and 40 of dengue have been reported in the capital this year.
