Proposals have also been prepared for the places where the requirement of Metro services was felt, he told reporters.
"These include Metro services between Delhi and Kundali (Sonipat), Faridabad and Gurugram, Gurugram to Manesar and Bawal, and the TriCity from Chandigarh to Panchkula," Khattar said while travelling by the Metro from Bata Chowk metro station, Faridabad to Central Secretariat, New Delhi.
During the journey, the chief minister also interacted with the co-passengers.
As many passengers who were traveling in the Metro hailed from Gurugram and Faridabad, Khattar also took feedback from them regarding different subjects related to the state and also heard their grievances.
Khattar said the state government would strengthen bus service in cities like Karnal, Gururgram and Faridabad.
At the same time, Metro service would be started from Faridabad to Ballabgarh in coming six months, and construction of Metro link from Delhi to Mundka and Bahadurgarh is also in progress, the Chief Minister said.
He said the Haryana government has already sent a plan to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to bring the Metro up to Kundali in Sonipat.
He said after becoming the Chief Minister (in October 2014), he has traveled in Shatabdi Express, Volvo bus service and Metro train.
"Public transport provides an opportunity to communicate directly with the common people... Metro service is not only safe and convenient, but it also takes less time than road route," he added.
