Value added services provider DigiVive today said it has bagged mobile streaming rights for live and repeat One Day International (ODI) matches between India and Zimbabwe from Seven3sports.
The five ODI match series, which started on July 24 and will run till August 5, will be streamed on DigiVive's mobile TV platform nexGTv.
The master distributor of the India-Zimbabwe series, in which one match was played on July 24 and the second one is scheduled for today, is Taj sports.
"Over 14 million users of nexGTv and nexGTv HD will be able to enjoy the live matches right on their handsets. Also, users will be able to watch matches at their convenience by watching repeat matches under the video-on-demand section," Digivive said in a release.
In the past also DigiVive had picked up rights to stream live events, especially cricket series like T20 World Cup, IPL 2013 among others, it added.
"Cricket on mobile platform has become a popular phenomenon. Now people are not only watching live action on the move on nexGTv but it is becoming a second television at homes," DigiVive Director GD Singh said.
NexGTv has various features like replay TV, adaptive streaming, best-in-class user interface and 24x7 customer care support call centre. It offers channels ranging from national to regional in the category of entertainment, movies, news, and much more, he added.
"One of its unique features is adaptive streaming which enables seamless live streaming even on 2G network," Singh said.
