Congress leader Digvijay Singh today submitted a pendrive to the SIT probing the MPPEB scam which he claimed has important information about those involved in the scandal.
Purportedly, it contains telephone numbers of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's official residence, the Chouhan couple's mobile phone numbers as well as that of other officials and Singh has demanded a probe into it.
"I am submitting a pen drive containing one spreadsheet which was a part of recovered data through certain legally approved software, from a previously captured hard disk image," Singh said.
"The file was made by Nitin Mohindra (MPPEB's Chief Systems Analyst) using a version of Microsoft Office version 2003. The SIT may undertake necessary action on the same," the Congress General Secretary stated in a letter to SIT Chairman Justice (Retired) Chandresh Bhushan which was accompanied by a pen drive enclosed in a sealed envelope.
Besides, Singh has also provided the mobile phone and IMEI numbers of the accused as well as arrested persons in the case, namely Laxmikant Sharma (former minister), Sudheer Sharma, Pankaj Trivedi, Trivedi's wife and Prem Chand Prasad in it.
"I have submitted phone numbers of certain persons which might appear after the IMEI report analysis. Call detail records and text messages sent as well as received between these numbers would corroborate that the MP CM's Office, the MP CM and his wife were in direct contact to facilitate illegal admissions as well as recruitments through the VYAPAM (MPPEB)," Singh, who also happens to be former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, stated.
