The panel, formed on the direction of District Magistrate of Gautam Budh Nagar and led by District Inspector of School (DIOS), found that one of the school had just four students, another was found running classes till 12th while it had permission to run classes upto eighth only, a senior District education department official said.
"In my recent inspections I had found three unauthorised schools. In one school, there were only four students. The school management was warned to get the school registered," DIOS Mukesh Kumar said.
"Schools which had permissions to run classes upto upper primary, where found to running high school and intermediate classes. Action is being taken against school management for running classes without approval," Kumar said, adding in the third case too, school could not produce registration papers.
Making an appeal to the parents not get their child admitted, Kumar said, "students have to suffer in such cases. I have appealed parents not to admit their children in unregistered schools.
"FIR will be lodged against school managements for conducting unapproved classes," said Kumar.
District Magistrate NP Singh had directed the DIOS to ensure improvement in quality of education and building confidence of residents in government schools.
"Panel inspections are being conducted in schools. Team members comprises principals of schools who are visit schools and conduct their survey," said Kumar.
"Team looks for infrastructure and other facilities in schools. Teaching standards are also evaluated. Students feed back is being taken to check the quality of teaching. Teachers whose standard of teaching is found to be below standard are being warned. Thrust is to improve the quality of education," said Kumar.
