Disabled-friendly measures to be implemented in TN

District Election Officers (DEOs) have been asked to implement disabled-friendly measures for tomorrow's parliamentary elections, including allowing their vehicles upto the gate of polling station premises, a top official said today.
DEOs have been asked to allow vehicles upto the gate of polling station premises for visually impaired and those with locomotive disorder, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Praveen Kumar said in a release.
"Person assisting a disabled elector may be given priority in entry into the polling booth," he added.
Polling is scheduled tomorrow for 39 Lok Sabha seats while bypoll will be held for Alandur Assembly constituency.
