The decision of the University came to fore only when the Intermediate passed students seeking admission in BSc in colleges situated in the rural areas of Kolhan region comprising East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharswan districts, were denied admission, Goswami said.
The admission in BSC course in Baharagora college in East Singhbhum district, Singhbhum College, Chandil and K C College, Seraikela (both in Seraikela-Kharswan district) were banned following the decision taken about a week ago by the university, he said.
Goswami demanded that the science subjects in these colleges should continue like before and the university decision should be withdrawn.
