SP (Economic Offences Wing) Snehdeep Sharma said that during the search and investigations several incriminating documents pertaining to 16 plots and constructed properties in posh colonies were found from the residence of Rakesh Gupta.
All these properties, cash and Kisan Vikas Patra have been valued at about Rs 16 crore, he said, adding that during investigation, 16 bank accounts of the accused were sealed.
He said letters have been sent to all banks to provide information regarding any locker of the accused, who has been posted here for the last 12 years without break, or his family members.
During the search, the sleuths had recovered Rs 35 lakh in cash and 1.4 kg opium.
Gupta is absconding while one of his touts was arrested, Sharma added.
