DMK announces Trichy N Siva as candidate for biennial polls
Press Trust of India Chennai With the term of two of its Rajya Sabha members coming to an end by April, DMK today announced Trichy N Siva as its candidate for the biennial elections scheduled on February 7.
Party chief M Karunanidhi announced the candidature of Siva, a two-time Rajya Sabha MP, in a statement here.
His last term had ended in July 2013.
The terms of DMK's S Amir Ali Jinnah and Vasanthi Stanley are ending by April 2.
Other RS MPs, whose terms are ending, are GK Vasan and Jayanthi Natarajan (both Cong), TK Rangarajan (CPI-M) and N Balaganga (AIADMK).
