DMK announces Trichy N Siva as candidate for biennial polls

With the term of two of its Rajya Sabha members coming to an end by April, DMK today announced Trichy N Siva as its candidate for the biennial elections scheduled on February 7.
Party chief M Karunanidhi announced the candidature of Siva, a two-time Rajya Sabha MP, in a statement here.
His last term had ended in July 2013.
The terms of DMK's S Amir Ali Jinnah and Vasanthi Stanley are ending by April 2.
Other RS MPs, whose terms are ending, are GK Vasan and Jayanthi Natarajan (both Cong), TK Rangarajan (CPI-M) and N Balaganga (AIADMK).
