DMK President M K Stalin Tuesday met the parents of a 7-year old girl, who was sexually assaulted and killed in Pannimadai on the city outskrits recently, and consoled them.
Stalin, as part of the election campaign for the Nilgiris constituency candidate, A Raja, visited the victim's parents and expressed grief over the gruesome incident.
He also paid floral tributes to the photograph of the girl, which was kept in her house.
The minor girl, who went missing was found lying dead near her house with her hands and legs tied on March 25.
The accused, Santhoshkumar, the girl's neighbour, was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
