The 35-year-old actor will play the popular author in the 'Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond' in BBC America's four hour miniseries, set to go on air on January 29, reported the Wrap.
The series follows Fleming's time with the British Naval Intelligence, which inspired him to invent the super-spy.
The series is directed by Mat Whitecross.
Fleming died in 1964 of cardiac arrest.
His creation is one of the most enduring characters in cinema and culture.
The 24th Bond movie is all set to be released in 2015.
