Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan says fame has not affected him and he is still the same.
Varun, who made a hat-trick of successful films with "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania", "Badlapur" and "ABCD 2", said he does not want to take limelight seriously.
Asked if stardom has changed him, Varun said, "I try to be the same. I do make mistakes. Stardom for me is something that I don't want to take too seriously. I don't want to try and understand it. I want it to be a mystery."
"As long as I am getting love from audience it is enough. I have love for them in my heart... I want to entertain them. It makes me happy," the 28-year-old actor said.
Varun, who is the son of ace filmmaker David Dhawan, made his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar's "Student of the Year".
"Since the beginning of my career, I have always maintained a connection with the audience. I think kids like me more and even I like them... This connection helps me," he said at an event here.
Varun is often touted as the next Salman Khan of the industry.
"That is a big thing. Salman bhai is a legend we all look up to him including me. There is only one Salman Khan... And at the same time there is one Varun Dhawan."
His latest film "ABCD 2" has crossed Rs 100 crore and he is very happy with the success the film.
"It feels really good. This film was not made with that (box office collection) idea that it should make Rs 100 crore. Through this film the idea was to push dance. Today parents feel proud that their kids are dancing...
"It feels great that a film has had this kind of impact. ABCD is a film that has done well overall in the country especially Maharashtra," he added.
Varun is busy shooting for Rohit Shetty's "Dilwale".
