Doordarshan television crew looted on its way to Jhabua

A Doordarshan television crew was looted on its way to Jhabua from Ujjain late last night near Petlawad town by unidentified miscreants, a police official said here today.
The miscreants looted cash and valuables worth nearly Rs 1.5 lakh from them, he said.
The television crew comprising four women and two men were stopped by miscreants at Khoriya village by placing stones and other obstacles on the road at around 2 am, Petlawad police station in-charge Shivji Singh said.
The miscreants snatched ornaments and cash worth nearly Rs 1.5 lakh from them as well as manhandled them, he said.
The crew was on its way to Kadavad Badi village in tribal Jhabua district to shoot a programme in the rural hinterland.
