Sub-Inspector Pushpraj Nagwanshi (36), posted with District Reserve Group (DRG), in Kondagaon district died at around 10:20 AM at Ramkrishna Care Hospital here, a police official said.
The body has been sent to his native place in Kanker where he will be cremated with full honour, the official said.
Nagwanshi had sustained serious injuries in the stomach during a gun-battle between the joint squad of DRG and local police, and the ultras on June 13 at the forests of Kilam Becha village in Narayanpur.
