DRI seizes 11.98 kg gold bars in Ramanathapuram district

Gold bars worth Rs 3.6 crore, being allegedly smuggled to Tiruchirapalli, were seized from a car at Keeranur near here today and two persons detained in this connection, police said.
The gold weighing about 11.980 kg and worth Rs 3.60 crore was being smuggled from Devipattinam to Tiruchirapalli when it was seized by customs sleuths, they said.
Two persons have been detained and are being interrogated, they added.
