The incident came to light yesterday when locals saw blood coming out from the tanker cabin and informed police.
Police on the basis of documents recovered, identified the driver as Shabir and cleaner Dharamvir Bhasker.
Police termed it a case of murder and said all records from the crime scene have been taken into account and investigations are on.
